Senior Bookkeeper & Office Administrator

Location: Jackson, TN

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Bookkeeper & Office Administrator to join our team. This is a pivotal leadership role within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, combined with exceptional organizational and administrative skills. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the company’s bookkeeping, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and financial reporting.

  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.

  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management review, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

  • Work alongside project managers for client invoicing

  • Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing insights and recommendations for financial planning.

  • Oversee office administrative functions, including managing correspondence, scheduling meetings, and organizing company records.

  • Serve as the main point of contact for vendors, clients, and external partners regarding financial and administrative matters.

  • Support HR functions, including onboarding new employees, managing benefits enrollment, and maintaining personnel records.

  • Ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the office, addressing any issues that arise promptly and efficiently.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team on special projects and initiatives as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial role, preferably within the construction or restoration industry.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Excellent organizational skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and external partners.

  • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred but not required.

  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.
